Simon Meldrum

Investment Specialist, Global Innovative Finance Team, British Red Cross

Simon’s professional experience covers banking, philanthropic investing and social enterprise. In his current position at the Red Cross, Simon is responsible for developing alternative financial instruments to unlock private capital in support of the movement’s mission. His previous roles included managing a £45m fund that made blended investments in social sector organisations, and acting as Finance Director for a social enterprise. His banking career covered a variety of roles in structured debt and international capital markets. He also currently acts as the chair of the investment committee of the Community Investment Partnership. He was awarded a scholarship for his MBA at London Business School and is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin.
